The Top 10 Rainbow Six Siege Operators

⚡️🐐

There are 50 operators in Rainbow Six Siege, all pretty unique from each other. Some are great and others…not so much. Initially, I wanted to rank all 50, but that seems like something that would overstay its welcome. So we went ahead and shrunk it down to the top 10 operators in the game. I will tell you who we ranked as the worst operator though, that man would be Warden. I actually don’t mind using him, but it’s no secret that he does nothing for himself or his team. To add insult to injury he is a two-speed operator with just average guns, not to mention his ability will only work in incredibly rare situations. Anyways, enough picking on Warden, these are our top ten R6 operators; we tried to rank them as unbiased as possible. We took both ranked and unranked play into consideration, and while people’s lists will be different, we feel like these characters will fit onto most lists in some order or another.

Jager

He would probably be higher on this list had the developers not decided to take his ACOG away. Even still Jager’s Carbine is the most well-balanced rifle on defense. Jager has great speed and solid sidearms but also has the option to use the M870, which is what really propels Jager towards the top. His ability, the ADS system, destroy incoming enemy projectiles. This ability really comes in handy when locking down an objective for anchoring operators. Making him a big help to himself, as well as his teammates.

Twitch

Two very balanced primary weapons in the F2 and the 417 DMR, also one of the better shotguns in the game really help Twitch to be a versatile character. She is also a two-speed operator that has breaching charges or a claymore. Two of the most useful gadgets in the game. Her hitbox is also one of the smallest in the game, making her very popular in ranked play. The big kicker is her shock drone, when used properly there are few operator abilities that can be as useful for the team.

Caveira

In our opinion, she is the best defender when playing casual mode. She can still be great on ranked when you are being conservative with her. Even after her fair share of nerfs, Caveira has found a way to stay very useful. Her two primaries are solid and it’s really up to the player to find out which one is better. What really makes Caveira stand out is her sidearm and ability. Her Lusion handgun is the best in the game, providing a two-shot down anywhere on the body, one shot in the head of course. Once you get enemies down, you interrogate them and find out the location of all the enemies for a short period of time. This is made easier to do with her silent step skill, granting you a much bigger chance of sneaking up on your enemies.

Hibana

Hibana really takes the place of Ash on this list now that she has been nerfed to shit. Her ability to blowing up walls from a distance is even better than Ash’s due to the fact that it can blow holes in reinforced walls. Another three-speed operator for the list, also an operator with a very small hitbox. Her Type 99 is one of the best AR’s in the whole game, its only downfall being a twenty round magazine. She also has the option of using the Bearing 9, one of the best sidearms in the whole game. Hibana excels at both ranked and unranked gameplay, which elevates her to this high of a ranking.

Valkyrie

Let’s just say it, having a D-50 as a sidearm really helps you out on this list. Not only does Valkyrie have one, but she also carries two of the best primaries for defenders. The MPX being possibly the most accurate submachinegun in the game, and the SPAS-12 for those who are looking to be a little less precise. Her deployable cameras help out a team greatly, and these can be used by less experienced players because of the simplicity. She is a two speed which is perfect for her because of her being an anchor-roamer hybrid. For a little icing on the cake, she can carry a nitro cell. If you love Siege, you love nitro cells.

Echo

I have to be honest on this one, I don’t use Echo at all. But with that being said, I know he is incredibly useful. He is the most banned defensive character in ranked for a reason. His MP5 is excellent when fired in short bursts, when you want a more anchor approach, he has the Supernova shotgun available to him. Like Hibana he is also given the option for a Bearing 9, for a gadget, he can have a deployable shield, making him an even more effective anchor. Echo’s drones are what really set him apart from his fellow defenders, they are the ultimate pests and can act as extra cameras if he dies. I truly believe that if he were a two speed at least, he would be the best operator in the game.

Thermite

With a similar ability to Hibana but less convenient you would think that he would be ranked worse than her on this list. Well there is a reason for that, it’s in large part due to Thermite’s AR, probably the best one in the entire game. To compliment that, he has the option of two badass sidearms, one that excels at damage, and one that is great for accuracy. Having breaching charges or a claymore to add to the variety makes Thermite one of the most all-around useful operators in the game.

Thatcher

This man can make a dozen or so operators much less useful than they would be normally. Thatcher is one of the most used operators in ranked play, and while he isn’t picked nearly as much in casual, he can be just as effective if you try. He is equipped with two of the best AR’s in the game and a solid handgun. Being a two-speed operator fits very nicely with his play style. But his EMP grenades are what really helps him out in competitive play. He has the largest list of enemies he can counter which is what cements him at the number three spot.

Jackal

Easily the most banned attacker in the whole game, and for an understandable reason. Jackal is the most annoying character to go up against, he is the ultimate counter for any enemy that is roaming. Not only is his tracking ability amazing, but he quite honestly might have the best choice of weapons out of any operator. He has the choice between an excellent SMG, AR, and shotgun for his primary. You could go double shotguns if you wanted to for some reason, I’m sure some weirdo does it. Jackal is a great all around the character and really the only thing holding him from the top spot is the learning curve it takes to master Jackal as opposed to our top spot operator.

Doc

The only one-speed operator on this whole list and he takes the top spot, who would have guessed? Doc is far and away the easiest character to master, and in no way is that a bad thing. He takes the more simple approach, and that allows any player, no matter the skill, to be useful with him if they intend to be. He can help his teammates out just as much as he can help himself out. He can use the best SMG or the best Shotgun in the game, with some very solid sidearms. Doc is one of the few operators that is arguably just as useful in both ranked play, and casual play. His adaptability is what shines, and that is why Doc gets our number one spot.
